Idle problem on the b16a?

Default Idle problem on the b16a?

When i start my car up it doesn't rev high to get it warmed up it like stays below a grand then when you physically sit there or put something to hold the gas for awhile then it idles fine. i dont know what it could possibly be. i am not throwing and codes. please help.

Your cold idle air valve thing is plugged or gummed up and it's not doing it's job anymore. That thing is located right under the throttle body (First gen JDM B16). It has a coolant hose going through it. As the coolant warms up, the valve closes and idle returns to normal. Remove it and clean the inside with carb cleaner. Sometimes it works best if you let it soak for a couple of minutes.
