B18C + CRX...Ground clearence?
Is it possible to raise the motor in the CRX and get like a ZC or Bullfrog hood so there wont be ground clearence issues when lowering?
Using the mounts kits?
Thanks

You would have to construct your own mounts to be able to control where the motor sits. You can get an SiR replica hood that is cowled up to give more room. I would suggest not having your car really low with a b series. The header will scrape and the oilpan isn't safe either.
also raising your motor will raise your center of gravity. so if you drop your car 2 inches and raise the motor 2 inches it will be like not droping it at all (get what I'm saying) And part of the reason to lower a car is for better handling. Just a thought. I'm rambling
Ground clearence isnt that big of an issue unless you are really just dumping the **** out of your car. You can shim the driver motor mount with a few washers to gain about 1/2 an inch if you want.

About ground clearance, i have a b16a and my oil pan, downpipe, and cat are destroyed due to clearance. i bought 1.7 inch lowering springs and i rarely scrape anymore. and with the hasport mounts it all fits under the stock hood.
hey Early: I've got the same thing going on. I'm picking up some RS*R Springs to get myself at a decent ride height again. Right now I'm riding on some sagged Neuspeed Sports.

on my b18c crx i run hasport mounts...i have no issues with ground clearance...i still have the stock hood but i did have to chop up the under hood skeleton...
How did you like the neuspeed sports????
u guys neecd to do what i did and get a guard welded to your car so u dont ahve to worry about scraping ****. i got a DC JDM 4-1 on my b16 and that header hangs really low. probably less than 2 inches above the ground. so i had my tech fab me a guard that protects it. it welds to the front crossmember and is STRONG
ill see if i cannot get a few pics up soon
