Another question about my rings...got pics this time
Ok well I got some more opinions on my rings...I guess some pictures would help.
I told you last time that the oil was seeping past the rings. I put equal amounts of oil in each cylinder 5 days ago...and yielded this today:
Another angle:

On closer inspection, I do not think I need new rings as of yet. I concluded that the depletion of oil before was due to me turning the crank a little and changing the level of the piston.

How come your pistons are at the same level...shouldn't two be up and two be down?
Maybe you level them off...anyway...how can you tell if you need new rings looking at it like that?

the crank is probably just at the point where all the pistons are level

You've got the head off already, why don't you just take the pistons out and inspect the rings and ringlands? Just drop the oil pan, take off the rod bolts, and tap them out.
yeah just pull them out, your already 90% of the way there. a test like this doesn't really help you much because the rings have gap, and the oil control ring has holes going through the piston

All u have to do is drop the oil pan, the windage tray, etc. After that, u have to unbolt the rod bolts and tap it out with a hammer or something. You DOn't have to remove the crank or maincaps.
yeah you push them out the top because the crank is still in the engine. they're kinda hard to push out try using the butt end of a screw driver tward the middle of the piston and a hammer on the other end from the bottom. also tap different sides to keep the piston square in the bore. try to keep everything covered and clean so cleanup is easier.
