Hi, im removing (well trying to) the handles on the outside of my 98 civic hatch. I've taken off all the dorr cards, but can't manage to get the handle off. I've un-done two screws that hold it on, but can't figure out how to remove the connecting bar things!

Anyone give me any tips or walk me through it!

Need to get them off today so I can smooth them over and get it into the bodyshop at the weeksend so -TTT!

prob. too late but they pop off just use a flat head and open the wings up just
stare at it for a while and you'll see
