I don't know I gotta agree with part of that statement- some Honda guys are just ****** and can't appreciate other nice cars. Shoot when I have my *** handed to me on a regular basis by some of the local GTi's I have nothing but respect for there cars. My friend even has a clean looking New Beetle.

now when im with my friend in his talon..the DSM guys are cool.. they arent like honda guys..
now that i finally have my nissan..there arent any other nissan guys in my area..so i dont know how they're gonna be..but from the 240 boards, so far i can tell nissan guys are cool as hell.. its just the honda guys that need to grow up.. especially the eletist type R owners.. type R's arent skylines, but they sure act like it..
now, if you're one of those down to earth honda guys... get off your *** and set an example for the idiots.

You are definitely right about the DSM and Nissan guys. The DSM guys around here are totally cool and after racing are the first ones up to say good race and how they like your car. Nissan guys can be both ways- generally cools guy and really friendly, then there are the stick up the *** "I rock because of my SR20" type. I think whats cool about a lot of VW and Nissan guys was that they got their start with Hondas and moved on to other cars, so they appreciate our cars just as much.

You are definitely right about the DSM and Nissan guys. The DSM guys around here are totally cool and after racing are the first ones up to say good race and how they like your car. thats true.. most Honda guys are ******..quick to hate on eachother or want to race.. dirty looks, revs..etc..

Speaking from my own experiences, I am rather disappointed with VW's. I've owned 4 H2o cooled GTI's/Jettas and I must say...They are over-engineered and a pain in the *** to work on. Factory tools are expensive and often see only a few uses, therefore making them a shitty investment.
Although I must say, one saved my life in a high speed wreck once. So I'll always be thankful for that...altthough the built 8v took the majority of the impact and I lost a grip of $$$.

it goes many ways in the car world. when i'm on a non-honda board, there's always bound to be a "honda sucks" thread or something similar. i've never seen a nissan/vw/etc suck thread on a honda board. unless, its in some racing forum or something.

Gotta love the VW's made in Germany. The GTI's are solid.
but keep away from those Cabriolet's and Golfs made in Mexico. My friend had a Cabriolet that had the shifter pin fall out on while she was driving over a bridge. After an hour of honks from aggrevated traffic passing by, the tow truck finally appeared and towed the car to the dealer.
She was so embarassed, frustrated, and tormented with that incident and others, that she bought a Honda soon after the lease was up. Never a wince since

Yes but also vw guys love to hate on honda's all day...I personally know a couple of vw guys who are in big vw clubs in my area and they love to hate on our cars..one thing i notice about vw guys is then they like to have excuses for their cars whenever they lose, or whenever u hit them up and they know they will get spanked....i was rollin in my homies itr one day when this guy with a supercharged vr6 gt-i hit us up...his car was pretty clean, rollin 19's full ice, full abt kit....we were at starbuck gettin coffee and he walked up to us actin all cocky like " oh itr, big deal, u wanna run"....so we ended up runnin him, smoked him off the line and ont e freeway....after we handed him his ***, he flipped us off...LOL...then later on, i heard from our vw friends and that same guy told everyone that we squeezed on him...LOL, our itr is stock i/e/h, cam gears....so yes, vw people are as big ****** as some honda people...I admit, some a2 and a3 body vw's look pretty nice, but i'd never give up my "H" for one....
