Default Spool time with a 14B

I have a D16 with right around 9.8:1 compression.

I had what i believe to be a crane stg 2 cam in it(N/A cam) I was spooling 8lbs right around 3800rpm. I figured i would swap out the crane for a stock cam and drop a few thousand rpm on the spool. This didnt happen, and the car feels slower....maybe its just in my head?

I figured the duration for a stg 2 n/a cam would be detrimental to performance with a turbo application.

PS the cam was in a car i bought, rumor has it, it was a stg 2 crane. It has some sort of marking on the distributor end of the cam.

Is spooling 8lbs @ 3800rpm bad??? Sounds shitty to me when having the kind of compression i do.
