Default 95redLUDE isn't going to go out like this...

After a few weeks of dealing with insurance, ripping apart my car, and looking for a Civic h/b to swap my H22a1 into I've come to a better idea. Why in the hell do I want to drive around in some goofy looking h/b (those who like them, don't flame) when I could just go out and buy another 4th gen and rebuild? So if anyone has a 4th gen (preferably 94 or 95) for sale please, PLEASE let me know. I don't care whether or not its an S or Si, auto or manual, I'll take anything with a super clean body (perfect paint, no rust) and a good interior.

I just can't believe that I was actually thinking of going to a lesser vehicle. Even though it would have been fast it would have had NO class. I just thought I'd let you guys know that I'm not leaving the group.

I'm not a big fan of hatches either. Well, at least not a daily driver. If you're building a TRACK ONLY car, then the hatch would be ideal...but that's beyond the scope of the original topic...

Why not throw the H22 in a Teg? That'll be a big surprise for most people. Plus, it looks good and have TONS of aftermarket support in bodywork/suspension/etc. JDM front end sounds nice...

But then again, you don't see many CLEAN 4G Ludes as well. Good luck with whatever you decide to go with!

exactly. I "thought" about doing the hatch with H22A1 swap thing after my prelude got totalled but then realized then quickly remembered how I'd be driving a Civic . Sure it's fast but it has none of the luxury and class of a Prelude.
I thought about so many different cars, but came back to the Lude because it is just so practical for my life.

i heard that putting an h22 in a civic isnt too great, you would need extra stiff springs up front. i heard that the h22 is about 300 pounds heavier than the civic motor.

go for it man, you should be able to find an S or Si for pretty cheap. Like they also said, what about an integra? Find an RS (no abs) and swap in the H22. Therefore you get the comforts of an integra with the benefits of a lude. Just a thought, because i love the look of a JDM front end on the teg.

Uh, no. The H22 only weighs roughly around 80lbs more than a CX motor.

**** man, 300lbs more is like dropping in a Chevy 350, with a huge blower sitting on top.

I have a 95 Prelude SI for sale. It was recently repainted green with a gold flake. Car is bone stock. 112K, 5spd, good condition. It is mechanically perfect.

How much are you looking to get for your 95? And where are you?

Jabronin....
The parts are coming, but its slow right now b/c I can't really work in the storage unit that I have and it started snowing like a **** tonight while we where taking off the doors. I've got a lot of the interior out and if I remember correctly, you wanted some of it. It might be a week or two before I get most of this **** out of the car. Please stick with me. Thanks guys!

ever thought about a del Sol? i picked up one dirt cheap (ok, so it's actually for my GF) and i am eventually going to put in an SS H22A4 (car's an automatic, and i've had a hard time finding pedals, master cylinder etc). the del Sol is a civic chasis, but interiorwise is similar to a Prelude, i mean, everything is nice and ergonomic just like a Prelude is...... just a thought
