So I went to the movies tonight, and I happen to have my $400 digicam on me. Well, I dont need a camera in a movie, so I left it in my glove box. When I cam out, someone had pulled my window far enough back to unlock the targa and get into my car. They took the Digicam & my case of BURNED CDs.

They didnt get my Valentine 1 that was chillin in the window, but then again I always pull down the visor so when people look at the car, they think it is part of the visor.

GRRR IM PISSED THOUGH, now I have to go buy another one

are you sure they didnt reach in through the back window if you ahd it rolled down maybe...??? they can get in easily with any opening from the back.

dam! didn't realise that it was that easy to break those targas in...they look pretty sturdy from far away... for the thieves

 

Im sure I didnt leave the window down...and normally they are pretty secure, but they broke the clips that hold the window. At the top, when you roll the window up, the clips prevent the window from being pulled out. They broke those, so now anyone can get into my car until I get them fixed

 

yea i broke into my own sol like that when i locked my keys and my cell phone in the car while it was still running!
try investing in the Viper 2-way alarm...

 

Hmm I think Im just going to sell the car, and buy a GEO for now..Im going to save for a nice downpayment on a real car. A 300zx or a Supra TT, maybe Ill build a 1st gen Talon TSI

sorry to hear about you loss man, perhaps its time for some sort of protection? Like, say..., an alarm w/Proximity sensor. just be glad they didnt still your whole car, like what seems to be happening to more and more H-T members here.

 

sorry to hear what happen to a fellow del sol owner, well my way of dealing with this car is by being so freakin paranoid as to putting a autolock and a steering wheel lock and makin sure all the windows are completly closed, well i put all my stuff in the passenger back seat compartment then i lock it but still damn thieves i always carry my trusty bat in my trunk ever the chance that one trys to get at me bam they'll get it well sorry for what happen

 

That blows ....... I used to have a 95 neon (my 1st car ) and I had a bad habbit of locking my keys in it .... that thing was so shitty made I could pull the window out far enough to fit my whole arm in there to unlock it im a fairly big guy at 220 lbs so moving that window far enough to fit my hand in there takes some distance on the reverse my gen5 honda has the metal door that runs up over the window .. making it at liest a little harder
