I would assume that a type r cat would flow better than an stack ls one,
woud i see any gains by getting one, is it worth the trouble.

 

If you want to replace the cat., go with a high-flow aftermarket replacement. Although the ITR cat. does flow slighty better, it wouldn't be worth the time, effort and expense to swap it.

Are you referring to the USDM ITR exhaust manifold? What car would you be installing this on?

 

your wasting your time and money if you get an itr cat and usdm header, but if you want to spend it , ill sell it to you,
ill tell you now they are almost exactly the same becuase i still have the parts from my 99GS and extra parts from my 01 R and the **** isnt worth getting for the miniscule diff .
the cat looks the same , the header downpipe is the only reall diff, but you wont see any more power from it
what IM asying is dont get cuaght up in the Type R thing , its over rated.
