Default Nitrous Oxide Inquiries. N2O, NOS, NAAAAWS!

Ok so I hate Nitrous. BUT! I have the oppurtunity to pick up a ZEX kit for NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING! My drummer has given up his Civic to purchase an 01 suburban to act as our tow vehicle for our band... Anyways, Im not sure what kind of setup it is, all I know about ZEX is that it learns your TPS and activates the NOS when at WOT. Im contemplating putting it on my ZC after some *** in a new GTS sprayed me in 3rd the other night when I was coming home. Only problem is I have a stock clutch and Im worried about it going away after the nitrous is on it. I probably wouldnt be keep the N2O setup for long, just fun for awhile. My questions are : Is anyone running a stock clutch w/ N2O? Any problems? What kind of performance do you get on the bottle versus on the motor alone??? What shot is being run? Thanks.

i ran a zex 55shot on my stock 90 si, it was quite the jump in power, i was impressed with the kit. very easy to install and very user friendly. if your clutch is fairly new, it should hold the power... for a bit. if your clutch is kinda old, like mine, it'll slip. my stock clutch held the power till i shifted hard, then it slipped badly. my .02 if your gonna keep the nitrous, put it on, see if your clutch slips... if it does invest in a good clutch, and your good to go.hth

p.s for the bigger shots a fuel pump is a good investment

I'm about to be running a 50 shot on my ZC(kit is in the mail), and I'm really stoked about it. My friend use to have a 50 shot on his ZC w/ an ACT clutch and ran nicely. I'd think that a stock clutch would be fine for a while, but its pretty hard on it if you are squezzing a lot. You could hook it up for a couple runs maybe?
Good luck man.

yeah you have to retard or you will blow.. 2 degrees for evey 50 shot .. and you have to run colder plugs .. 2 degree colder for every 50 shot.
