First Check The guage cluster, does it have a tach, next check the motor, is it a 1.5 or a 1.6, if it is the sohc 1.6 it is an si, also does it have pm-fi multi point injection. These are somethings to check, also check inside the drivers side door, there should be a plack telling where and when the car was made and what model it is.

 

run the vin @ carfax.com

even the free lemon report will tell you what model it is...

 

IF it is a pop-up it is not real. period!

 

all CRXes have a tach just the civics don't have tachs if they are not si's and i think in a si the door panels say CRX and it's a pop up sun roof not an si for sure

it is where the tach redlines is the key...but just look at the engine code and you can tell

 

checking the vin is the best way

crx si's came with moonroofs and not pop up ones

 

that's not an Si

interior shouldn't be blue
the Si sticker can be added
sunroof should be motorized
it should have a rear swaybar
redline should be 6500rpms
