shaking leads to stalling......causes?
i had a rebuilt engine put in my '89 accord (previous post: new engine worth it?) and it's been having a very strange problem. One day, when i started it it started shaking a little, and then it started shaking more and more, and when i would slow down, it would stall out, and i would have to restart it. It did that like 10 times, that was a while ago, and it only does it very occcasionally. The dealer has no idea what it could be, especially since he did a tune up on it recently. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? It seems really strange. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.
The fact that it stalls out when decelerating sounds fuel pressure related, the fuel pump is weak, the fuel filter is clogged or the bypass in the FPR is drilled out or FPR malfunctioning. THis is assuming the dealer adjusted the timing and idle speed durring the tune up. Also double check the IACV.
