gear won't go in
Sometimes my 1st gear it won't go in and same goes with my reverse... is it cause my transmission need to be broken in more or is there something loose in there... my reveerse, if i drop it into another gear and bring it back to reverse sometimes it'll go in... as for 1st when i put it in 2nd and go back up to 1st it still gets stuck until the tanny wants it to move into 1st... think my car has a mind of it's own

Thats normal with most Integras. Tough to get into 1st as well as reverse.
I either move through a few gears, then go in, or just let off the clutch and depress it again and it usually will pop in. Either that, or give it a bit of gas and it should pop right in.
Sounds normal to me, but also check your fluid to make sure you dont have a leak somewhere.

did you force your car into 1st gear at all? one thing you can do to help with the first gear engagement (and reverse this can help as well) put car into neutral and let out the clutch, put in the clutch and you should be able to slip it into 1st gear without much issue.
also, you can try to slip it into first by letting your car inch a little (slowly roll forward), this will also work with reverse, but inching backwards...

There is no syncro for 1st gear, reverse works off of first gear with a reverse idler gear. Most likely your first gear has a broken tooth or something is bent.
If it's still under warranty great..if not...well gears are pretty expensive.

I'm pretty sure that's normal, my integra goes the same thing. If it doesn't go in first right away I ususally drop itin 2nd then go back up to first, I know a few of my friends who have the same problems (different cars). Honestly I have no idea why it does that. For reverse the only thing I know Acura transmissions prevents shifting from gears 5th to reverse. Hope any of that helps
