Default 4door suspension upgrade???

i am thinking on getting a 4 door soon. i love the old school. i know the motor is easily swap in. i have motor ready to go in my integra but i'm thinking on getting a 4door to put my built motor in.

my question is....i want this car to handle. i want to use it for corners not straight line action. What companies make tru coilovers.. this is the only thing that's stoping me on geting this car. i want a car that can handle and handle good.

old school ownz

anything is possible, but the only thing that hold you back is how much you want to spend.

if you're referring to an 88-91 sedan, that's not old school.
drop down one generation and then you can consider that old school.

My friend used to have 4dr it handled great(had full cage too). Any 88-91crx/civ aftermarket suspension will work in the 4dr just watch out to match up the rear shocks with the appropriate rear control arm.

i am willing to spend $. roughly around 2G's for the suspension. i'm making my G3 integra my daily driver and i want the 4door to be my weekend car.

post this in the autocross/roadrace forum.. you'll get great responses there.. and, people who actually race check that area more than this..

it had a rollcage and black rims!!! i saw him in mississauga
we need to make an EF T.O club ... not alot of hardcore EF fans in Toronto =*(

i heard crx/HB suspension mods and strut bars work on the 4dr

H&R has a "true" coilover setup for the civic/crx....it will work for a sedan as well...if your really looking for a track car...why a 4 door...why not get a car with stiffer chassis like a hatch or crx?...
4 doors handle better than hatches. better wieght distribution for one thing.
i don't race, but that's what i've been told by reputable people.

think about it, all the european and asian touring cars are mostly sedans.

My 4dr has better weight distribution than my friends crx. on the scale at the track mine was 58/42 with the d series motor and the crx was ~66/34. My 4 dr was heavier, though. 1900 lbs at the time versus 1850 for the crx (he had front interior, I had none). I had coilovers and shocks and his were stock, so we cant really compare lap times (my fastest was 1:05.xx his was 1:08.xx. We both had the stock d15's, 14" azenis, and 15mm rear sways).

I still dont believe that why did honda race the crx in SCCA racing and win in 89-90..if it was worse than a 4 door..also in 91 the crx was the fastest fwd car in motor trends salom test..4 door ex was way slower....I think they use 4 doors cause thats what is used for the class...also why would real time use 2 door tegs and not 4 doors...
man i don't care about any of that ****. i don't have a sedan nor do i race, so i'm not going to argue with you.

although Ben's post above has some excellent points on the subject...

yet again the crx's and the hatches but down the 4drs again..

did you know that the 4drs are acually passenger cars? unlike the crx which was bred to be a track car? there's a reason y honda picked the CRX... instead of the 4dr and back in 80-90 they picked the crx because they were new and cool looking... nothing to do wiht the potential of the car did any of the 4drs get a b16a? i think not.. soo don't put down us 4drs please

there's a difference between the EF 4dr and the DC 4dr... you can't compare them! that's just not logical
