Hello. Today, i finally used up all of my full tank of gas. I filled in 15.231 gallons and i went 471 miles with it. It comes out to approximately 31.3 miles per gallon. This was with 60% fwy and 40% moderate traffic driving. This is my record so far. What are your records for the best MPG on your accord? Oh btw, my car is a 02 EX coupe I4 5 speed manual.

 

I reached 556 miles with a full tank of 15.87 galsUS, about two years ago. This was with the same engine as now, however with the auto tranny. Highway only driving, and in the best conditions you could expect. I would expect maybe 575 miles next summer with the 5-speed, without the A/C.
My all best was with my 89 LX Accord, 596 miles with only 14.15 gallons. I could have lasted to 625 miles on the same gas tank, but I was getting too nervous. Still, it was good for 42mpg.

If I remember correctly the most miles I've gotten was around 420 (don't remember exactly, it was along time ago), but I don't like to let it get really low. My highest MPG was 34.5 on a trip from Chicago to Sandusky, OH. Got there on exactly 1 tank

i cant really do this test since my gas gauge is screwed up and isn't accurate..

 

This is kinda cheating but when I had my Civic HX the best mpg I got was 52.3. I drove 485.3 miles on a 9.28 gallon tank of gas. It was mainly highway driving though.

By the way that car would also get about 30mpg when I was racing it at the local drag strip.

The Accord gets shitty mileage. I'm usually around 23mpg. The Integra is around 30 though.

 

I drive about 95% hwy and average around 30mpg. I've done as well as 35.2mpg

 

This summer was right around 30-32, but letely with the cold weather and warming up and intown trips Its been like20-23... it sucks

I get 30+ mpg highway but I haven't really measured yet, and 25 mpg city last time I checked (11.75 gallons for 300 miles)

 

i put in 10 bux every couple of days.

its about 6.99 gallons, and i go about 170... all city.

 

My best was 470 miles on a tank of gas, and my light had just come on. This was coming back from Cali from a road trip. So it was pretty much all highway driving. On avg I get about 420 miles per tank.

 

at 80 mph i get 29-30

due to cold weather I am getting about 22 average in stop and go traffic.

 

i love it when people honk and flip me off when i'm in granny mode, and then they stomp the gas and think they can get away. but they dont. and i make sure they know i dont appreciate their unfriendly behavior. .

 

if u shift at 1500 rpm, wouldnt your car eat more gas because it doesnt have any power to get the car going upto speed?

 

560 on a long road trip before I chickened out and got gas, '92 LX Coupe with a bunch of mods.

 

In my 92 DX manual, I get about 23 - 25. That's all city miles. On the highway I get about 28. That's summer and in the winter. My girlfriends 2001 civic lx auto gets 38 in the summer and 40 in the winter. And that's driving in rush hour north Dallas traffic five days a week.

 

I get about 20 miles to the gallon 'cause I love my high cam

 

LOL, me too. I got a little over 200 miles to a tank in my 94 EX.

 

HAHA, same with me. I'm on about 250 right now. And running on E. My car is in the shop tho so I'm not worried 'till Monday....

 

I average 22.5 mpg out of my 90 accord. I also am on the throttle a lot, I bet if I ***** footed it around I would get better mileage. I once got 410 out of a tank, but that was 90% freeway.
