i didnt mean to offend anyone or anything, im all jdm myself, im just saying look at those things, especially the cf48's, if they werent mugen the same people that like them now would be saying that they're ugly and would be making posts mocking them, i realize life is about trends and i already fell into the jdm one, but never am i gonna think those wheels look nice

function over fashion, cf48 weren't made to look pretty at car shows. they were for the sole purpose of brake cooling.
so ur telling me that u only want them for that reason alone? the fact that they're MUGEN doesnt make you want them a little more. im not hating, i know people have their own tastes. but when people say function over fashion it makes me upset....cant u find some cheaper rims that serve the same function? i mean im a JDM *****, but im the first to admit that an amber climate control,cluster,clock..etc has no real function

i realize the design is for brake cooling, but when i point and laugh at a guy with those wheels and he yells at me "well atleast my brakes are getting cooled!" i still point and laugh, lol. listen, different strokes for different folks, to each his own, i just dont like em personally. let's all have a

they were for the sole purpose of brake cooling.
I would LOVE to see somebody prove this. If there's anyone out there running these wheels that actually races their car, please take some brake temp readings and compare them to readings with conventional wheels.

dumbass.
don't think so....Mugen designed the wheels orignally to be used in Japan and made them there...they were the wheel for Civic E-AT and CRX E-AS as well as City Turbo. the wheels have been around since 1984
back in the day honda was very much into its racing hertiage (F1) and so on. it sold many Mugen parts throught the dealerships to attract clients.
mugen designs are reflection of the time, such as
CF48 for 84-87 cars
MR5 for the 88-91 cars
RNR for 92-5 cars
MF8/MF10 for 96-01 cars

so whats looks good then doesn't mean will look good 15 years later. so people who bitch how the CF48 looks like, should know its 80's design which was supposed to be influenced by motorsport

i've had 2 sets of them. drove around hard all day came back to them 5 minutes later the rims were cool enough to touch. mugen original made them for rally's. their nick name is "heat sinks" and just like r/c's they serve that purpose. they don't jus call them that for the hell of it.
Yeah, I can drive around hard all day and my 7-spoke Volks will be cool to touch as well. That's not exactly scientific evidence. I'm not saying they don't do what you say, I'd just like to see some proof instead of hearing everyone repeat the same thing over and over again with no actual facts to back it up.
