Default What does this relay do?

I'll try to post pics later tonite, but...here's it's location...

Looking in the passenger footwell. You have your ECU. directly above the ECU is the wiring loom/hole from the engine bay.

On the RIGHT side of the ECU bolted to the interior, just below the glove box... there's a relay. I can seem to find it's purpose. I'm tempted to remove it and forget about it. I've looked in the service book and i can't locate it with the drawings. Any ideas?

I believe all the relays on that side are related to Heating and AC.
I removed ALL that stuff and nothing happened. CEL wise.
I could be wrong though.

Sounds like you talking about the Atmospheric(sp) Pressure sensor... If thats it, don't go removing it. It's used along with the MAP sensor to help figure injector pulse width.... hehehe

I would have to agree with the Atmospheric(sp) Pressure sensor. Its a 3 prong plug 2 on 1 side and 1 by itself in a T shape. Has one 10mm bolt holding it in. If so thats what it is. Don't remove it. You'll need it

I agree. It sounds like the PA sensor. BTW, just curious. Why would you be tempted to remove something, even though you have no clue of what it's for or does? If it's to save weight, it's only a few ounces at best.

more like:
- i wasn't sure if i needed it
- it's a wiring mess (biggest reason)
- obstructs cage placement (2nd reason)...don't want it to just dangle there
