it was danglin behind my motor...so i ziptied it to the throttle cable....it runs fine....shoudl i bother???

 

What year engine? Looks like perhaps a First Gen. B16a!

Is you alternator pluged in?

Is it for crusie control? ( never seen a cruise control plug )

1st gen b16....possibly from my dx harness....alternator is plugged in...i dunno....?
the other day i decided to drop it down in 4th at like 65....looked down a few sec's later and saw 105....woah...this gots power now!

that'd be the first thing I'd check.
all sensors and everything hooked up? you dont see anything around that area where it may plug into? or maybe it has to be extended to plug in somewhere else.

 

no check engine light...but ill check the ecu....also what about this????

 

those look like bolt studs that hold your fuel rail on.

 

if youre refering to the two bolts, no thats not for the clutch cable.
it holds a black box in place. wires run inside the box to your injectors. i see that you dont have the box but i doubt it would cause any probs, it is supposed to be a heat shield.

 

what colors are on those 2 cables of that sensor ,..,
on a DX to Si or any other swap u got a extra plug that doesnt need to be hooked up..
i have that extra plug on ym Z6.... no big deal .. looks like the plug that came off ur EACV... tell me the colors...

i can tell the red color...

if its:
red/yel and grn/wht its the TA sensor
blk/yel and blu/yel its the EACV
Red/wht and grn/wht its the TW sensor

i have that plug too. it was on my Si harness. i just didnt plug it in .. but another swap i had that plug and i pluged in to the back of the motor and the fan came on .. trip out . i dunno.

 

I also have a DX to B16a swap and that one is not necessary, mine is dangling too. I forget what it goes to though, but don't worry about it.

 

gu7ys the d16a6 has a mini IAC and amain IAC. the b16 only has one.

Is your mani temp sensor in? that conector looks like the one in this pic. Below the fuel regulator just to the right.

 

Perhaps your thinking of the fast idle air control vavle found on the 90-1 Si's. If that's the case, that's not the right plug style for that valve. Is there only a single wire on that connector? Do you have your knock sensor plugged in? Colors are key here.

 

I have the dx to b16 swap to, I actually had this switched with the eacv sensor I think. Anyways I thought it was the knock sensor, but it plugs in under the intake manifold or some where around there. I am trying to get some more information on it, but for now thats all I have.

 

I just found this on hasport, now to me it looks like in your picture, the sensor is a single orange wire although I just looked again and there might be a black one with that orange wire. O well, heres what hasport says.



Its alittle blurry, but it waas orange single wire is the knock sensor.

i have the same extra plug on my DX harness after i did my swap.
i guess you dont' need it. i've been told that by HASport and i've never had any problems.
