Hey guys, i went to check out some alarms at some local stores like best buy and circuit city. One i checked out was the Viper 790VX which has remote start. i've heard bad things about remote start and manual trannys so i asked the guy if there was a way around it he said they could just not hook up the remote start.
so i went to best buy and the guy said it's illegal for anyone to install the alarm in my car because it isn't auto.
my questions are, is it true that they can just not hook up the remote start?
also is it really illegal for them to install it anyway?

i actually don't care at all about not having auto start. i don't see any reason for me to use it.
i just want to make sure the place i buy an alarm from can install it too.
