reliability? what's HP#'s are you looking at? I'm thinking about going to this set up, if not B18C, but H22 is the best bang for the buck IMO. Just need some feedback.

reliability?More than enough if you can solve the oil pump issue. As far as horse power numbers Im looking in the high eights possible nines. And in my openion its the best route, most will disagree with me on this one though.-pdang

I am buliding one right now (actually parts collecting at the moment). The issues I am runing into are as folows...

1. Manifold (no one seems to make one I would like for my setup)
2. Cost, stuff for the H motor cost more and GB are harder to come by as well.

With the setup I plan on running I should be able to easily hit 300whp and still have plenty of room for more if needed.

proably refering too the stock pump gear usually giving out at 300whp and the fact that prodrives pump gear has a less than stellar record it seems.

BINGO Im in the process of talking with tony1 about getting something done about this and hope it will work out for the beter. KCHybrid everyone is starting to realize how great the H series motor really is and is jumping in on the bandwagon. I know that revhard and Drag both have a new manifold design for the H series .Greddy just came out with there kit. if anyone isintreted tony1 has my old turbo manifold which was made by kiwi, IM me if you want some pics-goodluck hope you go the lude route-pdang

I happen to have a prodrive oil pump gear for sale if anyone is intrested.

There have been issues with fitment and breaking. I know prodrive came on to HT here not long ago and said that they had recently done slight revisions to the pump gear and all issues should now be resolved. However it seems that a good number of people were having fitment issues (clearences not being to spec) and a few stories of pros shatering them when they switched to methonal. Do a search for it and some of these topics should pop right up.

My car will be ready by summer no matter waht happens...I've been holding it off for way too long now.

as for teh oil pump gear...I have the B-series one....Well, you gotta look at it this way though. All the Hot Rod guys are making like 800+ now. 2 dinky little gears will not take that much pressure. That's probably why everyone is going with the drysump

Yup that seems to be the case, moroso has began marketing a dry sump system for street cars I think too. I recall seeing an ad for it somewhere. Only thing is I doubt they have one for the H series yet.

the dry sump setup is nice but man its 2k dollars. we have a prodrive gear in ours and its been fine so far. we have only made 660hp and that was in like 10 dyno pulls. there is no telling what will happen after several passes down the track.

back to the subject, the h22 is the best bang for the buck right now. the swap is cheaper and you pick up more hp per lb of boost since its a 2.2 liter. the only problem i find is that parts are harder to come by and there are not as many shelf items as a b series.
