What do you think about this idea ?
Well I have not really thought this threw all the way but, I was thinking of hooking something up to the gas tank door, so when its closed the car would not start. The reason I said closed instead of open is because someone could close it as if they were doing you a favor. Now I know this would be a hassle that every time you want to start your car you have to pop the gas tank lid open but I was thinking of hooking up a switch so when you flip the switch, then the gas tank would have to be open so it would start. Ok that might of been confusing lol. I was woundering, I know there is some kind of circuit for the gas tank door cause there is the reminder light it is open. Well anyways, its a rough idea but what do you guys think ? I guess this would be a really secure way, I might just hook up a kill switch. Anyone have any good sites of where to put them or what to hook them up to ?

If you are into any electronics, you can do cool **** like make a stamp circuit with a bunch of relays, and make it so you must push the 4 different cruise control buttons in a certain order for the car to start. My friend did this with his prelude. He also put in a bypass switch for that circuit, the switch was hidden, and when he had a passenger in the car, when he got in he bypassed the cruisecontrol button start circuit so that nobody but him knew about the system. With a programmable stamp circuit, you can do anything, you can make it any pattern of buttons...anything. Just get a repair manual so you can study the wireing harness of the steering column.
Yes to both.....here is how
Parts list
1. relay bosh or P&B about 10-15 bucks
2. 16 gauge primary wiring...if youre careful black will do great.
3. tape and misc connectors
4 basic electric tools
wiring
86 to a 12 volt source ( if you want to use park lights connect it here)
30 to one side of the starter wire ( key side..when cut shows 12v)
85 ground through a toggle or if you want the cig lighter trick cust the main power line at the center of the lighter its 12v and run the line from the lighter to this point.
87 this goes to other side of starter wire.
Hope this helps out

Thanks for all the help. My next dumb qeustion is what is a relay. I looked it up, read some topics, also had some help from a member on here over instant messenger but I still did not get it. I went on the radioshack.com and found this pic.
Is this what I need ? If so I see about 4 plugs, where do they all hook up to , and after I hook it up to there, do I still hook it up to a switch. These might be dumb questions but I am still learning so thanks for all the help.

a relay is this
if you give one of those poles(designated one) voltage, it will compete the connection between two other poles. Relays are used for things such as your garage door light. When you hit the door open buttun on your remote, the receiver starts the motor. When the relay has electricity pass through it to the motor, it triggers, and the light in your garage comes on. get it?

I saw this one kill swith installed in a Jeep Cherokee back in the day. You had to activate the right turn signal to start the engine
The one that finally stumped me was a guy hooked it up to the lever that will open or close the vent on the driver side, you would have to push it up and then hold it up a little more while you turned the key. He put a micro momentary in and did a damn good job.
how did u manage to find that???? or did u just end up calling the guy and ask him how to start his car. thats a good place for a kill switch though.
