Hey everybody,
I just got done writing up a list off all the stuff I'm gonna be getting in the following weeks.
For now my plans are to run 7 PSI and make ~250-275 WHP on 91 octane, and stock internals (for now). Shortly after all the turbo stuff is installed I want to get a Quaife and an ACT HD PP and 6 puck disc.
But to run 7 PSI initially I believe that this is all the stuff I will need. The only things I need help selecting is the ignition system and what vacuum lines to get and where to get them.
I have about $2000-$2500 to get the rest of the parts, I'm thinking that should be enough to cover the parts and labor (to fab up a new DP & exhaust).
EDIT: changed my budget, because now I have a spare short block coming my way

AEM Tru Time cam gears
nice set up...wish i could afford thatr about now
AEM Tru Time cam gears
From what I have been hearing, Skunk 2's cam gears are ligher. They also have more bolts so they have less chance of slipping.

Thanks for the info about the cam gears guys.
For anyone else that cares, my budget just went down to $2000-$2500, because now I am also buying a spare bottom end from one of my fellow PO.com members.
So do you guys think I will still be able to buy all that stuff for $2000-$2500?
TIA

ziggity,
Did you know that I tried to outbid you for Mike's turbo kit? hehehe
I practically begged him to sell it to me, I offered to pay him $2500-$2700 for his kit, and I offered to pic it up from him. I can say this without even seeing his kit that you got a really got deal. I just wish I had offered to buy his kit 2 days sooner...so let me just say you had better not back out of your turbo project otherwise I'll be pretty upset
BTW what spreadsheet program are you running? I would be interested in seeing your part list as well. You should also post it on here, that way you, me and everybody else can compare them.
Boost97Lude,
Isn't there a backlog of people trying to order the techedge? that was the reason I put FJO down. I know of a place where I can get an FJO for about $750, but I'm not getting it right away.
right now I need to start shopping around for the best price for my shopping list. I'm gonna be ordering my AEM EMS from B18Bturbo in the morning, then I'm also ordering some of the miscellaneous parts (injectors, flanges, BOV, etc).
right now here is my timeline for my turbo project:
@ Feb 01-Feb 15 completed buying parts, fabbing up misc. parts, install turbo, get it tuned on a dyno
@ Apr 15-Apr 30 install ACT HD & 6 puck, install Quaife LSD, Install FJO(or tech-edge)
@ Jun 1-Jun 15 completed building spare block, swap out bottom end, turn up the boost

also... what kind of autometer universal cups are you buying, and where are you mounting them? i kinda need a few more guages myself
http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...=yes&dept=1533
the p28 is much cheaper and basically if i want to use the secondary butterflies i can get a rpm window switch and i have a J&S so the lack of a knock sensor in the P28 doesnt bother me but i am not convinced i will see significant gains by using a P72 over a P28
