Default Thinking about turboing my 168,000 D16 (compression resutls)

well it has 168,000 miles on it.
1990 civic si w/ D16a6

#175,170,170,170

anything i should check or be worried about?
what about valve seats? valve seals?
***this will only be for fun...........not looking to for major power of any sort, JUST a simple small turbo 5-7psi street machine.

i say go for it, i'd be concerned w/ the piston rings, but besides that..go for it...also talk to arturbo he has a crx that has seen a lot of highway that was also boosted.

my rex has 180k and has been boosted since halloween, compression is the same as before....go for it!

hum... if i go turbo i want to be able to tune it with hondata....... MEANING i'll have to convert it to OBD1. what ecu should i run? The DX ecu? certainly not a P28
right fellas?

Charlie...you remember Yee's white civic that we turbocharged? Well it lasted 1 week of 12lbs from t3/t04e...then we got greedy and turned the boost up to 20lbs with stock injecotrs and no tuning what so ever. That lasted about 3 days and blew a hole right through the webbing.

Use a DX ECU with the hondata...and I can hook you up with Jason for a harness(it'll be cheaper than what he can get you)

this is Paul...Chicken's car didn't run as good as Yee's car...trust me. We went down to red rock and killed a cobra on 12lbs with a stock SOHC VTEC, in a EX coupe.

there was no tuning whatsoever excpet for a FPR...and we did taht in his garage.

And look at it this way, if you ever blow your motor, I can get you another motor for dirt cheap
