i ordered a 90-91 civic Si clutch and it has only 20 splines. However, my tranny has 21 splines. The guy that sold me my car said that my car is a 91 Civic Si tranny. I am confused

Did the guy who sold me the car lie to me? or did clutchcity.com send me the wrong clutch disc?

 

if you have 21 then you have a 88 tranny sorry to tell ya... to run a 212mm disc on the 88's just order the disc for a 86-89accord 2.0 and you will be set, just run the 90-91 pp and flywheel.

the 89 up have 20 spline count, but you cnat run a 92 up b/c they are hydrolic

what does hydraulic have to do with it? I got a 94 clutch pressure plate and flywheel in my 90 wagon. seems to work just fine.

 

i meant it as in if he plans to try and swap in a 92+ tranny..... im sure the clutch will work its just hte disc that matters

 

me and my bud are arguing whether or not Honda makes hydraulic trannys. I say that they do, and hes says probably ONLY JDM ones do. WHos correct?

 

yeah the disk is diff. honda transmissions from 92 up in the us are hydraulic clutch. not sure about anywhere else.
