Just as the topic says, I just totalled my GSR the other night. I'll show pics. I have the whole story in the integra forum, and members corner...

I am gonna be left w/ around 10k (i'll find out a more exact number later this coming week) plus or minus 3k-4k. Please show me some of ya'lls cars that you have worked on. I am not even really looking for performance anymore. After my wreck I don't even want to drive fast again. (look at the pics) Anyways, I'd like to see anyhting from civics to accords to more tegs to not even honda's. Thanks a lot, and please cheer me up...!

was anyone hurt?? get a cheap 1990 240sx then buy a sr20 motor and some turbo goodies and youll be good to go

 

get a 2000 hatch and use your gsr motor...

 

get yourself a Hatch.....hatches are good project cars, thats why everyone has one haha

 

A hatch would be fun, but way too much work for me. I need a car pretty soon. I broke my right arm because the passenger was thrown into me after he hit the phone poll. He was thrown into my lap, unconscious and bleeding in the head. What a scary site. Me and the rear passenger hopped out thinking we were fine since we had so much adrenaline. He was actually alright, just really sore. My friend who was knocked out was released from teh hospital today with NO damage. Holy **** are we all so happy and lucky.

Yea, I have driven my dads 91 300ZX TT. I know all about nissan turbo. And my dad is far from stock, getting close to 500hp.. .....I know what power feels like.

why dont you just but it back from the insurance company and part it out. use the rest of the money, buy a hatch, and throw the engine/tranny in, plus you'll be able to do brake conversions and reuse your seats, etc. you'll be more than satisfied

Get a 240sx and drop in an sr20det. I dont car what anybody says about ANY honda or acura. Nothing is quite like a 2400pound car with 250HP at the rear wheels. And I mean NOTHING. And that is from personal expirience. 240sx's rock. sr20 is better than any crappy *** honda motor. Add in the turbo of the t verson of the sr20de, and you have a kickass car. Look for one in your area, and test drive it. Just be careful, if you arent used to very very fast RWD cars, you will wrap yourself around another tree. A 240sx with a srr20det feels like a corvette, but with better handling.

If i were you, i'd take it as an omen and get something else.

Lately, ive been considering the wrx, G35 coupe and the vW toureg. But alas, they're just cars. For me the integra is a third car and hobby.

I love the integra because it had the most bang for the buck , good performance potential, and a smart looker. i haul more stuff than i can in my maxima because of the hatch and folding seats. The five speed is fun but as we grow older, our tastes and lifestyle changes.

My friend took a spill on his motorcycle doing 75 and he was lucky to live through it. He now drives a minivan and doesnt regret moving on. I believe he's haunted by the moment of the fall each time he gets back on a bike at that speed. I believe they were all cruising at 150 and he intuitively spend down to the 70's at a certain point for no reason he can recall.

Its a sorry site to see another fallen teg. A dying breed they are but it would have been far worse to loose another bunch of teg enthusiasts.

I would much rather buy a WRX but 13k just won't cut it. I could get another nice GSR for that much. I'd prob need around 16k for the WRX. I really wouldn't mind just getting an explorer or maxima or something safer and not really performance oriented, but I loved the way my white GSR looked and felt on the road. I got second looks at the car from everyone. I just don't know how i would feel behind the wheel of one now. I am looking hard right now for a replacement...

 

You need a civic hatch. That's all there is to it.

Buy back the wrecked GSR, and buy a civic then swap over the engine! That's the best way to go because you have everything you need
