there are many different answers to this question depending on what you're using them for. (i.e. street only, auto-x, track, etc.)
if you're just talking street, i'm happy with the Hawk HPS pads.

disordeR uses carbotechs and he likes them, they are VERY effective but they squeak like hell.

I strongly recommend that you call Andie at Cobalt Friction, because:

1. He sells a lot of different brands of brake pads, and

2. He really knows his stuff, and can advise you on the best ones for your needs, and

3. If you tell him you're with honda-tech.com he'll hook you up with a great discount, and

4. He'll donate a portion of your sale to the ITR Expo 3, and

5. He's a nice guy to know, too.

If your rotor grooves aren't deep, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't bother resurfacing rotors, as a general rule, unless they're shuddering.

Good luck finding performance pads locally.

Andie is going to recommend Axxis Ultimates if I had to bet on it. I would say The Ultimatesor Hawk HPS are your best bets.

If you're looking for performance front pads for an ITR, your local dealer probably has stock ones in stock. NSX front pads will also fit (I'm not sure if the part number is the same or not). Either one offers decent performance, comparable to the aftermarket pads, so it's not a big deal if you use those.

If you're looking for performance pads for a GS-R, not only won't you find them locally, but you're posting in the wrong forum.

they are for a GSR, and i know this is the wrong forum its that in the integra forum i got no response and i know here i'd get some opinions. they do sell the Hawk pads here locally, sounds like those will be the ones i'll go for. last question is if theres a proper way to break them in? thanks

i got axxis ultimates from andie a couple weeks ago and i love em.. he hooked me up on a great deal and they work great... ive heard the proper way to break em in is to drive without heavy braking for about 50-60 miles.. goodluck with your choice

I have Hawk HPS too. When I bought them they came with a note about how to break them in properly.
