help with mimi-me timing

Default help with mimi-me timing

i want to know about timing...which one am i suppose to use stock si or d16y8 timing..since the manual said stock si suppose to be on 20 degree and the y8 is 16 degree...which one do i use on those....cause i felt that my car dont pull hard as i expect.....

he has a mini me.... i imagine he is using a PM6 Dizzy and OBDO electronics... i guess u wanna go with A6 timing...

The reason I asked is because if he converted to obd1-2 then I he could have the distributor that fits, but if you use the a6 dizzy your timing could possibly be way off due to the dizzy not lining up fully, i went through those problems with mine and my freinds. Now that I think about it, you probalby want to go wtih the a6 specs as ef9 said, but if you have a vtec controller or anything like that then I would go wtih the y8 and give it the right amount of fuel.

yes i use vafc ...i try both of them and both of them are seem the same.... and i guess i m going to stay with y8 timing.... but is that 16 degree correct to timing???? cause i went to autozone and get the manual book and there s no spefiic degree timing to use.. dont u guys know what degree is it suppoise to be??

you could just set everything individually. These parts weren't made to go together so TDC on your cam gear may not be TDC in the engine or the head, so I say set everything individually. And whatever dizzy you use, use their settings for TDC
