I'm sure you know this already. But you may want to let it break in a bit before you go tearing off down the road.
yeah i dont wanna screw up all the work i just did.
nice site. i was reading about the camshaft install and then came to a page on it that wasn't availible for some reason. fix it dammit!
to fix it, i have to pay money which i might eventually do if peeps starting visiting the site and it actually has a purpose. haha.

Theres no need to for a "break in" period for a cam install. All the components should be properly lubed upon start-up. When i have installed cams, i would let it idle a bit.. listen for any sign of valve tap.. then mash the gas pedal.
One thing i noticed upon reviewing your cam install, is the valve adjusting process. The engine should be "Cold" (100F) when adjusting valves. Other than that, its all good. Now get on the gas.
And just like Jared said.. you will have to set your idle higher. Itll be fine for cooler situations, but once the engine is warm.. it will want to stall. Summer time is the worst. Just raise your idle up a little.

The guy he bought the gear from didnt send him a part... so he is trying to get the part and then he can put the Skunk gear on.

And the crane cam card said it should be hot. But i have a haynes manual and it said cold.... i didnt know so i just went with what crane said.
nope, go beat up on it. there is no break in for a camshaft install. btw, if the lobes are big enough, you may need to set your idle up to get a firmer idle.
a vid will come sometime. but lemme tell you, it pulls pretty good. i shifted into second normally and then floored it. bam! at redline before i knew it. third, still climbing the revs as good as in 2nd. it's definatly a wicked cam!
Will these cam effect your gas mileage by alot or what??
Yes because you want to floor it more often lol
