Engine Tested: K20A3 The parts used on this test: K&N Air Filter,
Application: 2003 Civic Si APEXi N1 exhaust, and APEXi Super AFC
Common Swaps: K20A2
Replacements: None
Price of parts: K&N Air filter $60
APEXi N1 Exhaust $599
APEXi Super AFC $419
DYNO RESULTS:
Baseline Power: 130.2hp and 118.2lb-ft
Air Filter: 138.8hp and 120.8lb-ft
Exhaust: 140.1hp and 122.2lb-ft
Super AFC: 143.5hp and 125.4lb-ft
As u can see the Si's intake was restrective. the hp increase with the filter was pretty good. The Si's exhaust was not that restrictive to begin with so the N1's power gin was low. Hp on this test was pretty good. The torque increase was exceptional especially on the APExi Super AFC which produced the biggest torque gain. Hope everybody who has a Civic Si uses this info wisely. happy tuning.
