Tonight, I went to pick up my car from the garage.. everything was great.
Drove it around, picked up my friend, and went to my friend's birthday party.
On the way, I encountered a very steep bridge, and my car got stuck on it, so I just thought f*ck it, and scraped the car over the bridge. In doing that, the wiring which (i think) lead to my fuel pump shorted and my engine stopped. Pushed the car to the side of the road, and checked the fuse box. My fuel pump fuse was broken, so I changed it to a new one. Tried to start the engine, and the fuse blew up. Put in another fuse, and that also blew up. So I called the towtruck..
He brought his slide-on, and in pulling up my car, his cable dented the underneath of my intercooler, as well as scraping the f*ck out of my exhaust pipe. My midpipe was stuck with the back of his truck, so he thought "F*ck it" and pulled my car up. The exhaust pipe pushed up into my gear linkage, and f*cked up my gearbox. He also attached the cabling to my axles. Messed up one of them while trying to pull the car up. Once he found out how much damage he had caused, he ran away and didn't bother to ask me for any money for the towing fees.
My dad has already warned me that if one more thing goes wrong with this car, that he's gonna force me to sell it. Guess i'll be f*cked once he wakes up in the morning and realizes what happened tonight.
I want to cry

That really sucks man. Sorry to hear all that crap happened in one night..hopefully you can get it all worked out and the old man wont make you sell it..
What does the turbo have to do with all this???
Sounds' like you need to take the issue up with the tow truck company.

Well if it wasn't for the turbo, my car wouldn't have been in the garage in the first place
Dont dumb sumabitches like him get cained over there for $hit like that? He messed up your stuff and screwed off..? I would go after him and get some $$ from the tow company..!

turbopanda -- if it makes you feel any better, I once drove my old car through someone's backyard fence while cutting class 3 weeks before my high school graduation. The phone call to have my dad pick me up at the tow shop was not pleasant.
don't give up. Things happen for a reason. maybe something good will come out of this!

well, seems like all this started by you scraping the underside of the car.
what does the turbo have to do with this at all?
it's an unfortunate situation. but look at it this way. if you have to give someone a ride and you get a ticket, is it that person's fault or your own?
keep up with the project.

I feel your pain nathan!
It's not neccicarily turbo realated I think it's just some of the problems you run into when heavily modding your car. I've been there (multiple times!) be strong it will be worth it.

That sucks....last time I had to get my car towed, the guy took one look at it and refused me....It has more to do w/ lowered cars than the turbo.
truely sucks, just yesterday we were talking about how your turbo setup was gonna rock.. now this happens.. damn dood dont let it stop you!!

Update..
I prayed to god last night (something I don't do too often) about the whole thing. This morning, my dad asked me where the car was, and I told him it was at the exhaust shop getting a "leak" fixed - he was like, "okay", and changed the subject to something else. *thanks god*
Got to my friend's garage and his mechanics were poking around with the in-tank fuel pump - don't know what they did, but the car fired up okay, and everything was back to normal. Intercooler was dented, but not leaking
The exhaust was dented at the bottom of the tip, so I had one of the mechanics hit it with some special tool and a hammer to make the tip round again. The midpipe was pushed up against the shift linkage on the tranny, hence the reason why I was unable to change gear - so we bent the hooks for the midpipe back down in order to get it lower and clear the shift linkage - now the gears seem to be back to normal.
Next thing on my list of things to do with the car will be to raise it up - i've come to the conclusion that while it does look nice, it's too low, and just not practical for everyday driving - especially with all the shitty roads in Thailand.

glad everything worked out for you. how low is your car dropped. my car was pretty low before and it was always a bitch getting up driveways and ramps etc. i just got my new suspension on two days ago and now the drop is only like 1.3 inches. i find that i clear alot more places that i wouldnt dare go before and now i can actually get my jack underneath the front of my car without physically having to lift it off the ground first
stick with the turbo. maybe your car just needs to be a little higher. function over form goes a long way in daily drivers. good luck with your car, it looks gorgeous. and glad to hear it all worked out in the end

gotta get your hands dirty man... do your own work. why was it in the garage anyhow?
anyway if the fuse blew you HAD to fix the short BEFORE you put another fuse in, otherwise it will blow as you very well know.
the tow truck incident is the guys fault, i would have ripped him a new a-hole. alot of times w/slammed cars they need to use 2x4's to help it get on there safely.

its your own fault for forcing your car over s steep incline....dont blame the turbo!!
Sorry to hear about the bad news though....good luck convincing ur dad to keep the car
