How are you guys supporting the turbo manifold, turbo, and wastegate??? The stock manifold has a bracket that supports the manifold and takes the weight off the head flange.... what are you turbo guys using????

actually that's a good question. i don't have a turbo setup installed yet but i do know the mani/turbo/WG combo is pretty heavy. i'm sure upgraded flange studs help but a support bracket would help also.

Most of the cast mnaifolds, dont have any type of support strap or anything, the manifold is thick enough to with stand the weight...

But on the tubular manifolds, i have seen them with a stap that bolts to something so that it can help support the weight of the turbo....

you dont really need to support the turbo on most applications. the only time you need to do that is if the manifold hands the turbo out real far creating a moment on the head flange and the welds connecting the runners. echo car supports turbo, laskeys and jotech will support turbo also. if you get just a little rev hard or somethin like that you dont have to support turbo

My T25/STD manifold combo is about 12 lbs heavier than the stock EX manifold from a D16Y8. I was surprised too... I added a nice fat flex pipe to further reduce any possible stress though.

Would you suggest a support bracket with the HyTech manifold then?

ARP sells them...we carry them...they are very expensive. They are nice looking and 12pt, but I would only recommend them for people who wanna blow $12 ea or race cars...lol

Earl, you guys cut the hole for the turbo yet? I'm guessing it's gonna be kind of a bitch trying to line that thing up

Dont know if this will help, but my intercooler and downpipe have brackets welded onto them that bolt onto the sheet metal in the hood compartment that support the manifold.

Hey earl how are you guys gonna support the turbo or does the manifold already have a brace coming from the rear to the flange area. My rev hard is similar to your design and has no brace just wondering as well thnx-pdang

This next question is really off topic how on earth did my precentage rating go down. What is it for ....?
