Default Valve clearance adjustment temperature

The Helms only says "valves should be adjusted only when the cylinder head temperature is less than 100 degrees F." No lower limit is specified. It's 30 degrees right now. Should I adjust the valves with the head at 30 degrees? Should I go for a drive and let the head cool down to ~70 degrees and adjust the valves?
Thanks.

you'll be fine to do it with them cold like that, they just can't be hot...... if theystill tick, you can always try adjusting them when they are a little warmer

Oh, thanks, they aren't even noisy, I thought they were just due for inspection. Now I see even under the severe conditions maintenance schedule they don't need to be inspected/adjusted until 105K miles "unless noisy." So I guess I won't touch them at all.

I think the Helms reads <100 degrees. I usually just do it after the car has been sitting over night.
