Wondering on interior lights?
Yeah i know this has been put on the board before, but I was wondering for a 1991 prelude si if there is anyway that you can change the light from being green to another color in the dash?? Any kind of help would be great.
i have a 94 del sol and i changed the original color(blueish-white) to red. i changed the gauge cluster and the hvac controls. not too hard but takes patience and care. as for the gauge cluster, i removed the needles, and the panel w/ the letter/number are stuck on w/ some double sided tape. after i removed the black panel w/ the mph/km, fuel level, engine temp, etc, i sprayed the other side w/ testors transparent candy apple red. once everything is dry put everything back together and you're set. as for the hvac controls, you have to do the same thing except you paint the clear "fiber optic" element that distibutes the light withing that cluster. took me a while to do everything and went through alot of trial and error before i got it to look "decent". also, since you're painting the panels, the original bulbs inside aren't bright enough. in my case, my bulbs were 1.5 watts each so i got some bulbs from a 98+ honda accord which happen to be 3 watts each.
yea, i tried that too but no matter what color your try, you will always end up w/ a lighter shade of the bulb. i tried red light bulbs but you end up w/ more of an orage-ish color. let me know how it turns out.
