Default quick itr valve spring question....(did search)

I'm planning on running type R outer springs with portflow inners. For money reasons I want to use the stock itr retainers. Will this work? I understand the advantages of a titanium retainer but just don't wish to run them right now.

Thanks in advance
Kevin

With what camshafts and at what RPM will you be using the springs/retainers?
At first glance you should be OK

Well I'm running itr cams and maybe in the future Skunk stage 1's. I just want a little misshift protection. Thanks for the info.
