can i use oil cooler for oil return line

Default can i use oil cooler for oil return line

if i get an oil cooler can i tap into it and return the oil back there or will this not work for some reason i have a sh prelude

good question...i would like to know also.. here are my thoughts
i woulnd think the oil would cool all that much cause its such a small feed line running to the turbo but thats just me thinkin off the top of my head..
anyone else..

No, it won't work. You want pressure to push oil thru a cooler and since there's no pressure coming out of a turbo, it's going to cause the oil to back up in your turbo and your seals will blow on you.

Also, the oil return has to drop below where it comes out of the turbo. The oil cooler should be mounting with the fittings on top or on the side, and if they are on the side, you want the cooler's feed to be the top fitting.
