I finally got my J's intake today.

i can't seem to fit the fat end into the filter Anyone any ideas?

More thoughts on the intake itself after i intsall it.

you might have to lube it up to fit it in.

it should just go over the cf body with some muscle

dont be a wimp and put some effort into it

I lubed it with some oil and with some force got it on my carbon fiber *****. I hope your doing this while the intake is off the car.

yeah it's off the car right now.

i got the rubber neck that connects the intake to the IM on fine, little muscle, but it's doable. the filter end though is different. The intake just seems very bloated and the rubber on the filter is so stiff. It's at a point where even if i had oil, the intake is too wide.

It was rough but here's what I did for my dad's car. I put the filter facing down on the ground that the rubber part is sticking up into the hair. Lube up the rubber and start having another person shove the intake into the filter while you hold the filter. Is that clear enough?

use some soapy water, but not much. It's not as bad as you think.

Like B2 said, filter on ground with rubber up, use bodyweight to push intake on.
