I keep hearing this terms but I have never known the difference, figured it was time to ask the experts.

A search might have told you faster.

Long block= Head and block.
Short block= Block no head.

EDIT: I am second guessing myself hold on......
EDIT AGAIN: Yup I'm right.....damn coffee isn't in my system yet.

I did a search for "long block vs " and "shortblock vs" but all I got was interests in buying or selling.
