Default f-series h22 vtec head swap

yup another question for anyone that knows about the f-series engines...I was asked this question and I couldn't answer it..........does the h22a vtec bolt onto the f-series block and is it a frankenstien similar to the ls/vtec? also if this swap is possible, what does ti take to pull it off.....I.e. whcih head gasket, lines, etc. would i need to use.
thanx

It is largely believed that this in not possible/economically feasible.
Basically no.

oh it's possible....but for much more money and time than it would cost for let's say a full out h22 swap and then some....F and H series motors do not really have frankenstein type swaps like the B series do...the trannies are the only things easily swapped...

is very possible as a shop on the coast was very known for this, however not realiable or monetarily feasable, considering other power adder options.

ya it seems to me that the h22a swap is much cheaper and easier in the long run.

Very known? I dont think so.

Ive heard of it being done once and that was like 4 years ago on SHO. The stock internals of the F22 do not like being revved out to 7500, its a garbage setup and is basically impossible unless you want to shell out $10,000 on the project for the same results as a $2400 H22a that is 10,000 times more reliable.

should be the same as placing the h22 head on an h23 block since the DOHC f22 is practically an h23 with less bore

thats pretty much the case with all the frankenstien motors. but you gotta take 2 things into account. 1)who built it? 2)anyone who puts a motor togehter like this is looking to make power, and you don't go looking for power because you like to putt around town like grandma
