How to polish lip?
hey im going to be buying some white 15 or 16 Rota SlipStreams for my next civic (comming soon) and i want to polish the outer lip. Where can i get this done, and how much would it be to do it?

I haven't actually done the entire process myself, but I would think that it would be hard to polish just the lip itself. You would have to mask off the rest of the rim extremely well, then use an aircraft grade paint stripper to take the paint off the lip, wet-sand it down with a 1000-1500 grit paper, and use a metal wheel polish like Mother's or Meguiars to get it to shine. I obtained a set of old school rims with a polished lip that needed attention and I did the wet-sanding and polishing and it came out great. Another option might be to strip the paint off the entire rim and then polish the lip, mask that off, and then paint the rest of rim whatever color you desire... there's a thread where a guy did that to a set of HX rims that came out nicely...I'll try and find it...here you go
