i got a '90 hb with the same prob, defroster n hazard switch don't light up... but you *can* replace the light bulb in it... i haven't checked on the defroster switch yet, but on the hazard switch, there is a brown circlular thing on the right or left of it (i cant remember... i flipped my hazard switch upside down... ) that you can put a phillips or flathead screwdriver in and unscrew... they're kind of a pain to get out, but when you do get it out, u will clearly see that the bulb is similar to the ones that go behind ur gauge cluster, only micro size... i dont think they carry these smaller bulbs at autozone or pep boys, so u might need to hit the dealership...

i need/want to do this (don't burnt little bulbs make u sooo mad???), but never take the time... if i get around to it, i'll let ya kno if u can get these at honda... im sure u can

Yes, there are replaceable bulbs in those switches, but like he said, they are dealer only jobs......

check it, i finally went to the dealership earlier tonight to get these damn bulbs! i felt it was worth the trip knowing that someone else was going thru the same crap. when i went to honda tho the exploded pictures of the switches looked nothing like mine... the guy kept asking if my hazard switch was mounted on top of the steering wheel column... but he kept lookin at me like i was crazy when i kept sayin the switch was on the gauge cluster housing... but anyway i ended up havin to actually take the bulb outta the switch to show him... he showed me two types of bulbs that belonged to an accord, and one looked exactly like mine, so i told him i'd take 3 (for some reason i thought the dimmer switch lit up too ha ha)... i went home to put them in and they worked! go ! Here's the part number on the package if it helps any: 35505-S84-B02 they were $1.87/ea. i think...

to get to the bulb on the defroster switch, first separate it from the bracket that holds both switches, then if you look on the top n bottom of the def. switch, you'll see that there are two more push tabs to separate the actual switch from another black plastic bracket/sleeve... the bulb that illuminates the switch is the one thats closest to the middle of the switch. the other one closest to the top is the activation light...

i didnt use the third bulb so yeah you only need two... me
