Default Advice on Turbo Manifold

What do you guys think about this manifold design. I saw it on ebay. It's looks simple and i could make it myself (i cut the pipes and flange and my friend will weld it for me). Is the design good or a waste of time? Thanks

this style is cheap, easy, and fairly effective, unless you're going full race, then it'll do!!!

The flow on that manifold is not going to be good, at all!! Cylinders 2 & 3 fire directly into a wall. Most log type manifolds like this locate the turbo flange directly onto the log. This one runs another pipe to the turbo. I wouldn't put it on my car....

if ur already cutting the pipes, then buy more material and make a tubular one. it will take more time and $, but its worth it. why not do it right the first time?

So you are basiclly saying you would never put ANY log style manifold on any of your cars?
Did I say that? I said I would never put THAT manifold on my car. That is a much worse design than your typical log manifold.

on a log manifold, #2 and #3 will always shoot staight into a wall
this is not true at all - i have seen quite a few log mani's that dont fire into the walls...

not a very good design...

Definetly. Look at a Revhard, Max-Rev, Drag, etc. They are all designed with maintaing good flow in mind, so their runner merge gracefully with the Turbo, rather then having to make a full 90 degree turn into a seperate pipe on this manifold. If I were you, I'd look in to making a manifold similar to those used by Jon at thedropshop
