Here is what I plan to do to my car to add alittle show factor- Tenzo ZT-6 rims (pending) OEM kit, with every crease shaved, Whelan strobe light kit, air cylinders (pending), sand blast the shitty paint, and go for a new color, maybe a nice dark blue. What do you think?

shaving is a waste or time IMO....strobes waste of time too...get some nice wheels than tenzo...dark blue color sounds nice though

 

I like the strobes, and the shaving. I think it lookes cleaner. Why are tenzo bad? I like the way they look.

well tenzos arent the highest quality..i think there are better wheels out there for your $. personally im not into strobes and shaving at all but, the blue color would be nice...do you have any specifically in mind?

 

Nope, Ive come up with all these ideas just recently after giving up dragging. Who makes better wheels? And what types do you reccomend, specifically for a teg?

id get volks if you have the $...rotas are pretty reliable for being cheap...it just depends on how much $ you are willing to spend

Those look really nice. I want to spend as least as possible but still have a nice rim, know what I mean? I just liked the tenzos cause the spokes blend into the side edge of the rim, looks clean, I hoped it would carry over to the clean lines of the car too.

sand blast your whole car? why would you do that. your OEM E-coat is the strongest out there because it's bonded to the car by electricity at the factory and was not sprayed on. If you go to bare metal, you loose the best protection against rust. If your car has never been repainted before, all you have to do is wetsand the car with 600grit for the new paint.

 

Ugh I just looked at those Tenzo's and they are butt ugly. All flat. You need something with a lip like this they're only like $1000(17")-1200(18") with tires at wheelmax.com. I think they would look awesome in hyperblack(the pic is gunmetal) to stand out from the dark blue or these cuz they're sick on any car i've ever seen with em. they don't have a lip(if you're anti-lip) and you can always get fake ones if you can't afford real RH's. just my .02

 

shaving would look cleaner..but dont shave the handles and keyholes..too much hassle down the line. what shade of blue you going for?
I want to buy the tenzoR seats, a pair of reclined(sp) racing seats with bracket and slider for 540 out of door...but quality is another story.

 

Accompanied specifics would be better and would be less prone to question.

Spared yourself from being called another brand name junkie listing brands from both inexpensive and expensive wheel manufacturers. Beyond Rota, there aren't too many other relatively inexpensive wheels on the market with such demand due to production of decent replicas. Tenzo along with Konig, and ADR, were cheaper copies to Racing Hart, Volk, Spoon; the high dollar wheels. The wheel market was/is mainly composed of this medium level of wheels such as Tenzo, the copycats.

Time is changing and other brands are pushing way towards the front to sell more wheels, Tenzo seems to be falling off somewhat due to popularity of other brand replicas, but like your statement there are better and worse brands out there. If there was no quality in Tenzo, the Tenzo Shu-4, the SSR Schumacher knock-off wouldn't have been such a popular wheel.

yeah... blue paint is though...

honoustly, don't shave or strobe and just spend your money on rims instead... or maybe performance mods *gasp*

 

unless you know how to weld and do it yourself, then it's an easy project.

I say forget about the tenzo rims and strobes.

Strobe lights on a car are just plain stupid. You will look like a retarded raver.

 

Yeah, I dont really like the ideas of gunmetal rims on black car, that will look bad. And for the price of the strobe kit, I could get alot more, better ****.
