I was on TireRack.com looking for rims recently. I noticed that there are only like 25 sets of rims for a 4-cyl Accord, but there are almost double that for a 6-cyl Accord. Does anyone know why that is?

 

different bolt patters, so different rims are available. make sure you don't get rims for a v6 if you have an i4

 

Man, that's a stupid idea. My choices have basically been cut in half now.

 

lol. there are a lot more rims in 4x114.3 (your bolt pattern) than what tire-rack has to offer.

 

Exactly..honda 4lugs 114.3 is pretty much standard by aftermarket rims/wheels makers...4x100+4x114.3(8lugs multi-fit)

 

yeah there are a ton of rims available for the 4cyl.

figure out what you want your rims to look like. then see if they are available in your bolt pattern(4x114). if not, there is probaly a knockoff of the style you want anyway.

think about the weight of the rim.

 

i dunno about you guys but i dont think tire rack sells quality brand rims. They sell brands like tsw and bbk or stuff like that. The lowest id ever go is konig.

 

what about bbs, ssr, kosei ? legitimate race wheels

like konigs are any good

konigs arent good but not all that bad. BBS, SSR, isnt my type of rims. i dont intend to race with my accord, so i wouldnt like those rims.

 

you dont have to race your car to appreciate SSR, BBS, etc. quality is 10x better hence the cost.

go look at some of them..... but be warned... they aren't bLiNgiN or anyhting. just nice clean, strong rims.

Would you consider Giovanna to be a good name brand for rims?

 

SSR, BBS rims are not my style. They probably are excellent quality, but id rather take racing hart, rays engineering, Advan, OZ, 5 zigen rims anyday.
