I don't know about you guys, but the license plate being mounted to the side of the front bumper is very appealing to me. What are your thoughts on the matter?!? Thanx fellas!

 

i like it...but then again there is always the super trick set up of this http://www.teammiata.com/TM305.htm u can flip it and make it work for hondas. i know in japan there are companies that make these and they save on speeding tickets...to an extent.

yeah, like the link above. You can put the license plate in the grill area with hinges and when your driving, the license plate flips up. It confuses the cops. Only one problem, when your driving like 20 mph, it probably is just tilted and looks like it is broke. Fortunately, where I live we don't have to have front license plates

 

I too like when the license plates are towards the side of the bumper.

 

 

Wonder if I could get away with drivin around one day with Japanese plates front and rear?!? May have to try it.

i got a picture of a Subaru around here (MD) that has japanese plates in the front, and i got couple friends with Euros with Eurostyle plates in the front of course, but my one friend got his acctually plate number for Maryland put on his euro plate, sadly thats kind of tough for japanese plates

i don't know how he did his, but you can just go to a hardware store, get some "L" brackets (make sure they have holes big enough for the license plate screws), mount it on the underside of the bumper, and then mount the license plate on it using screws/nuts/washers.

 

i go plate-less in the front........ looks like a women with no bra

L-brackets like my friend's Del Sol, or zip ties like the hatch next to him:

hah its funny when i see it on the Left side of the car, i know why they do that in japan. but it dont make sense here, because we drive on the right side of the road..
and its also funny when then plates on the side, but the wholes for the stock liceans plate holder is still in the middle of the bumper..

the miata thing is slick. pretty easy to make if you can find the right "weight" spring. I've got mine stuffed inside the front bumper, right where an IC would go if i had one
