Default tenzo R racing seats....

I have a friend with 2 tenzo R red racing seats that look just like the Recaro seats from japan...are they worth the 500.00 for them, because I really don't want to have to drop 1000.00 on new jdm recaro seats. I have a friend that imports honda stuff from japan, but they are pricey...what do you guys think?

I hear you guys on that one, but I am really looking for those in place of recaros, only because I did see the recaros in yellow once- but i can't find them I have a yellow coupe with an R motor, and I would like to keep with the theme. I'm currently in transition of pulling the kit off, and going with the oem kit, and mugen rims, but those seats are wicked cash...i'd pay for them if i found them in yellow tho. if you can help, i'd appreciate it.

I got a quote from local places...540 with tax, installation, slider and bracket with any two seats(fold down, slide out)
the material is cheesy.
but tenzo R also make other seat with much tigher, thick material like the one on
bride's..but again, why spend moola on sh_t that wont last?
That thing is not comfortable at all.

What do you like about the Tenzo seats? This is a good news, bad news scenario. Good news for Tenzo, bad news for you. Do you like it for the look-alike quality or the red color, or both? Duplication in form it should be alright/fair (can't personally state comfort), but when it comes to color quality, the red in the Tenzo seat is going to dramatically fade, if anything purchase the seats and have them re-clothed.

No sense in purchasing a item, then not even being content with it. If you really want the Recaro seats them purchase them, high price or not, if you want them now, then purchase the seats one at a time, it's still going to cost you, but at least you will be happy. Regret comes to mind when I think of both brands because you may not be content with either one.

well, today I went to my friends house, and he has the tenzo's in his haddy- uncomfortable as hell. so i'll stick with what is made for a honda, and go with the type R seats. we met for breakfast, and my friends parents got him one red recar for x-mas for his integra- sat in that. what a lucky day for me. a little more money, but i'll just wait. it is worth it to me. those recaro's are awesome. i'm sold...but does anyone know where i can find the yellow ones? seen them twice...if not, i'm gonna go with the red ones.

Why is everyone hating on Tenzo seats? Just because they aren't JDM? Or that they don't cost $1200?

Or is it because they don't have a saftey rating like Sparco and Corbeau?

You have proof their seats fade faster? So me pics.

I am not going to speak for anyone else but myself, I stated information I had on the Tenzo seat, if you want to purchase them and feel Tenzo seats have gotten a bad rep, by all means go ahead and do so. I don't remember selling the idea of one side over the other, I stated flaws where applicable.

In the your own statements you made assumptions that everyone stated their reasoning was due to JDM. In this age some like deals, but not everyone is willing to compromise price or quality. You're not reading.

Like I said if you want to buy the seats, by all means go ahead and do so. If wanting to know whether the information I posted was true, then go ahead and research the issue. I will not be your fact checker, especially not with the way you decided to respond. As long as I know what I have seen it doesn't much matter to me what you believe because in the end it will not be my money invested in them.
