i got them.... they are cheap , and for 120 bucks they are well designed... welds are done good. collectors are big enough.. they are mandrel bent,.
i defenetely felt a difference on acceleration after 3k rpms...revs faster and pulls strong.. includes cables to extend ur O2 sensor.. check my webpage on the bottom for the pics,... http://www.geocities.com/chacofgs/index.html

In some magazines they show dyno results for Chikara's eclipse GS header. If they've been around for so long I can't imagine them being all that bad.

I definatly cant agree with you on the quality of the welds. Me and a friend both bought these a while back. The welds were uneven and dirty, lots of specks and wire all over the place, and horrible penetration. The material is also very very thin, a slight hit nearly flattened one of the runners.
Another thing, these were both b-series headers, but chikara sent d-series exhaust gaskets.

I'm not against cheap parts, and if these headers did actualy dyno well, then i guess you cant go wrong for the price. Personally though, i wouldnt buy another chikara header.

Kamikaze headers are nice headers too. Their pretty cheap and in the same price point as those mentioned above. I've been looking for something cheap like that for a while now. Seems most places dont carry these 'cheaper" headers anymore. DC is mass market and sells really well.

I'm running a stainless OBX header and it works great for me. I don't know what kind of gains I giot from it since it went in at the same time as the ZC.

Chikara is really much just like Pacesetter, i know because i had a Chikara on a 92 accord and now i have a PS. on my crx. I'll definitely get rid of them(well my accord burned... lol) i'm planning on going with a HP Racing. Good price, good quality.

well i feel you on the " you get what you pay for " but what sets dc headers above all other manufactuers headers ? are the gains really that prominent with dc headers than all others ? i mean your only gettin like a 3whp increase anyway if that...for example my friend just brought a 96 teg ls, he gets his performance advice from a guy that sells APC type products so yea..he needs help...anyway he was asking about a good header ( only going as far as i/h/e ) and i said a kamikaze header or chikara, something inexpensive thats designed to do the same thing as all other headers. My reasons for the pick was because the car has 52k on it and he just wants the deep throated sound and a modest power increase( he doesnt really race much and would rather put on chrome 18's and drop it 2.5 inches on NYC roads smh ) so i told him to just get an intake to give the car a 20+ whp increase ( think stupid get a stupid ans..even if you are my friend ) but i really want to know whats the big diff when it comes to all these poor hp increase products that charge an arm and a leg for nothing except for some shiny pipes...personally i wouldnt pay for something thats 1/2 the price of a homemade turbo and gives you such crappy numbers...so if anyone can try to break it down to me or set me str8 i'd be greatful, i'm not trying to put my foot in my mouth so dont flame, i just want to see if ppl pay for the name or the performance ( which is what it seems to me going with dc )...

ppl pay for the name... the reason why i'm getting rid of my PS. header is because the paint came off of it, and now it looks rusty on the welded spots. But who knows i might get some high-temp. paint and repaint it black... it's nice, and the exhaust syst. sounds good, and i'll definitely won't pay 400$ for a header.

Anyways, if you check the mags. power pages when they do the bolt-on shoot outs, some costly parts only give you half the hp other "cheaper" one do and vice-versa.

I think that if you take your car to shows and go for those type of things, you'll need an advantage over the comp. and the way to get this is by using more expensive equipment. For example, why would you buy a 225$ intake system for your car, when a different company may have it fot 120$... BRAGING RIGHTS!!!

If it's for regular driving and you don't mind taking the paint off and repainting the PS header, then it's a good deal!!!
