Default Different Speedometers for 4th gen?

i'm lookin on ebay to get some reverse indiglo gauges for my 4th gen accord. and a lot of the ones i see, have a 140mph top end, while my accord has a 130mph top end. did honda change it sometime between 90-93 from 130 to 140? just curious. i also see the 130mhp gauges on ebay, so i'm not worried bout gettin the wrong ones. and another note, wat would be the difference if i installed the 140mph gauges. i would just be going slower then wat it shows on the gauge right?

thanks in advance!

no, never changed. the companys that make them try to use as many universal parts as possible, and they use the 140 on other cars.

IIRC all 4th gens go to 130 mph, EXCEPT the 4th gen wagons, which go to 140 mph.

I am not talking about the top speed of the vehicles, just the last digit of the speedos.
