Default Turbo crx exhaust, Opinions.

I have heard 2.5 is good and 3 inch is better as far as exhaust on a turbo honda. I am thinking of getting a thermal I want optimal power for a setup under 10psi. I dont want to lose my low end and at the same time cork my cars performance on the top end. I might just do a custom exhaust with mandrel bends and make it like 2 and 3/4. Has anyone felt a better difference with the huge 3 inch exhaust and dyno results before and after, thanks alot.

thermal or custom mandrel bent is probably your best bet

I have done many searches and the results are inconclusive. I have heard alot about 3 inch and alot about 2.5 , thermal makes both but I am still undecided which one would be better for my setup.

hey man

Right now we are working on a b20 vtec turbo swap in a crx, we decided to use the 3" thermal full catback system, It's finish and quality are grade A. The whole system bolts up using stock hangers and looks great. You still have to weld up a flange for a cat (haha) or down pipe. I found the system on ebay, I got a hella deal on it $280 shipped brand new in the box!! I think the only problem we may run into is that it will be really loud but hey what can you do? In my 99ek turbo, I'm only running 2 1/4" exhaust, (ya it sucks) but it is not loud at all. I would say use 3" for the most power gains and less regerts down the road, but if you want to stay somewhere in legal limit for noise, then use the 2.5". I can tell you the 2.5" thermal comes with a resonator and the 3" does not.

peace
