speedometer question
yep the lights work. just the speed needle is on and off. sometimes it works and sometimes it dosnt. so if my needle dosn't work....my car dosn't know its moving and my mileage dosn't go up. my cars been at 145K for like the last month haha
it might be a problem with your Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Have you ever had the OEM plastic intake off from the throttle body and had someone work in that area? (like on your fuel system>?).
RotaryBzzz, do you know where the VSS is?
I am heading to Autozone sometime in the near future to purchase one for $135, but I have no clue where it's at. Thanks.

On the 5th gen's, it's located underneath the rubber/plastic intake assembly about 1/4 down-stream starting at the throttle body. It is NOT directly underneath it. It's connected to an electrical coupler; to access this thing on 5th gen's, you have to remove the entire rubber 'arm' to get to it. It's deep within the engine area and can be a real bitch to get to; if you have really beefy hands/arms, you might have to ask a person with small arms/hands to reach it.
http://www.majestichonda.com might have a diagram of the part located on the engine bay.
Have fun

5th gen before you go out and buy a $100 + (vss) part first check the cluster. if the car was used , chances are that the previuse owner played with the cluster and may not of tighten the 4 screws that hold the speedometer. the 4 screws have to be touching the mother board inorder to get power to the speedo...... or the 3 green plugs ( wire harness) are not in connected and maybe loose.
