Default Stock springs question.

I'm going stock on my 90 CRX Si and i forgot which stock springs go in the front. One type is skinnier than the other and is less space between each coil and the other type is more fatter in circumfrence and their is more space between the coils. By looking at the Chilton, my guess is that the skinnier one with less space between each coil is the front. Am i correct or not. Someone help, thanks.

you want the fatter ones up front since its heavier there cause of the motor and trans.

Well do you mean the fatter ones as in bigger diameter and a bit more distance between each coil? In reality, the one with less diameter and less distance between each coil is more stiffer and stronger. Do which is it guys, i don't want to put on the wrong springs and find out i have to change them again.

The ones with more space between each coil go in the front. These should also be stiffer and harder for you to push down on. The ones with less distance between each coil go in the rear, and will be easier go compress with your weight.
Peace.

Actually the skinnier springs with less space between each coil is harder to compress. The fatter springs with more space between each coil is easier to comopress. So which goes where guys, i'm still getting different answers. I know i can find out by asking a shop but they are all closed and i just want to do this while i have time during the holidays, thanks.

have you tried putting a spring on one of the struts to see which one is which ??

i am positive that the skinnier springs go to the front and the fatter ones go to the back.

Yes i did try and both fit. My first inital thought was that the fatter ones go in the front but the skinnier ones seem to fit better. Now i am just confused and i just want to make sure.

the ones with more space between each coil go in the rear, the ones with more coils and i belive are a bit heavier go in the front, the coils on the fronts are closer together

Ok, let me correct myself. I just took out my stock springs from my closet, and noticed what you're talking about.
The ones that have the coils farther apart from each other, and are skinnier in coil cicumference are the rears. They are also just a little bit shorter.
The fronts with have fatter coils, and also the coils are closer together, and will be a little taller.
Peace.
